Hossein D. Atoufi is a skilled professional specializing in environmental engineering and water systems. Currently serving as Technical Lead for the XPRIZE Water Scarcity initiative at XPRIZE since February 2024, Hossein previously held roles as an Applications Engineer at Graver Technologies, LLC and a Water Systems Research Scientist at sHYp BV. Academic contributions include graduate research assistant positions at the Illinois Institute of Technology and Oklahoma State University, where Hossein designed and conducted experiments focused on desalination technologies and PFAS contamination.
