Luís Vicente began their work experience in 2007 as a Software Engineer at Movensis, where they conducted research on radio frequency identification technology. Luís then joined Everis in 2008 as a BI Consultant before moving on to Xpand IT in 2011 as a BI Consultant/Architect. In 2013, they became a Senior BI Consultant at Reditus SA. From 2016 onwards, they returned to Xpand IT and held various roles, including Big Data Project Manager, Big Data Manager, and Big Data & Data Science Manager. Currently, they are the Data Science Lead and Big Data Director at Xpand IT.

Luís Vicente holds an MSc in Computer Engineering from the Instituto Superior Técnico, which they obtained from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, they earned a BSc in Computer Engineering from the same institution, completing it from 2002 to 2006. In addition to their academic qualifications, Luís has also obtained several certifications in the field of project management, including ITIL V3 Foundation from EXIN in 2010, IPMA Level D - Certified Project Management Associate from IPMA in 2009, and Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in February 2014.
