Mukesh Sharma is a highly experienced professional in supply chain management and procurement, currently serving as the Director of Purchasing-Powertrain at Xos Trucks since July 2020. Sharma has a proven track record in supply planning, category sourcing, supplier quality assurance, and logistics management, focusing on optimizing costs and enhancing supplier relationships. Prior to Xos Trucks, significant contributions were made at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) from November 2006 to July 2018, where Sharma advanced from Supplier Quality Engineer to Senior Sourcing Manager, successfully implementing cost reduction strategies and managing high-value procurement projects. Sharma holds an MBA in Data Analytics and Operations Management from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Punjab Engineering College.
