Michael Carr has over 17 years of experience in the IT industry. Michael began their career in 2004 as a Principal Consultant at Symantec, where they were responsible for architecting and deploying Altiris and Symantec products for Product Lifecycle and Antivirus, delivering training, consulting and developing tools to meet customer needs using the Symantec and Altiris frameworks. In 2005, they moved to Altiris, where they served as a Principal Consultant and was responsible for architecting and implementing Altiris Notification Server and Deployment Server for large customers, as well as developing custom solutions for customer requirements inside the Altiris framework. In 2010, they joined BigFix, Inc. as a Subject Matter Expert, where they provided enterprise level customer support for BigFix and interfaced with the customer and development to ensure that needs were being met. Michael also joined IBM that same year as an Advisory Software Engineer, where they were a senior member of the BigFix AVP team, responsible for mentoring teammates and driving inter-IBM collaboration as well as the continued success of their customers. Michael was also responsible for all delivery of BigFix services for several customers totaling millions of managed endpoints across the globe. In 2019, they moved to HCL Technologies as a Senior Manager - BigFix AVP, where they led a professional services team through the transition to HCL, while continuing to deliver the white glove service to their customers. Michael also expanded the team's reach to product management, development and customer support to drive customer needs into the product. Currently, they are Global Director - Customer Success at XONA.
Michael Carr graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Prior to that, they attended community college for two years and graduated with an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts. Michael also attended a private high school.
