Steven Postmus has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and machine learning. Steven started as a Working Student at Deloitte's Analytics & Information Management service line in 2016, where they later became a Thesis Intern, working on generating patients' behavior using Generational Adversarial Networks. After that, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) for a brief period in 2019. Following this, they joined bunq as a Data Scientist and developed a transaction monitoring and fraud detection system and a churn model. In 2020, Steven joined Data Science Lab as a Data Scientist, where they worked with clients such as Schiphol, PostNL, Olympia, Avinty, and Zorginstituut. Currently, they are a Machine Learning Engineer at Xomnia, where they build and productionizes scalable machine learning solutions for clients, with their current project being at VodafoneZiggo.

Steven Postmus completed their education at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam). Steven obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Business Analytics from 2016 to 2019. Prior to their master's degree, they also earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Business Analytics from the same institution, starting in 2013 and completing it in 2016.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Steven has obtained several certifications. Steven became an AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty through Amazon Web Services (AWS) in November 2022. Steven also became a Databricks Certified Machine Learning Professional through Databricks in December 2022. Moreover, they obtained a Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate certification from Microsoft in January 2022. Lastly, they achieved the SnowPro Core Certification from Snowflake in November 2021.
