Michael Lewis is an experienced engineering and management professional with a strong background in regulatory and engineering management, strategic project support, and product development within the energy sector. Currently serving as Regulatory and Engineering Manager and Operations Manager at XOCEAN since March 2019, Michael previously held roles such as Programme Manager for the CEO at Commissioners of Irish Lights and Chartered Engineer during a brief transition period. Prior tenure at OpenHydro included positions as Senior Product Manager and Business Development Manager with a focus on tidal energy projects in the Asia-Pacific region. Notable experience also encompasses significant roles at Rolls-Royce, including Team Leader for Trent 1000 certification and turbine development. Michael holds a Master of Engineering in Engineering/Industrial Management from University College Dublin and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Technological University Dublin.
