Richard Wright has diverse work experience in the software engineering field. Richard currently works as a Software Engineer at Xima Software since 2022. Prior to this, they founded and served as the President and Principal Engineer of Appri Custom Technologies, Inc., where they provided engineering consulting services and developed a more realistic physics model for an Engine Room Simulator. Richard also worked at Xima Software as a Software Engineer III, where they supervised hardware development and built the interface between hardware and software voice recording products. Richard served as a Systems Engineer II at L3 MPRI, where they developed network and hardware interfaces for a real-time engine room simulator. Richard started their career as a Software Developer at DesignJug, where they worked on obstacle detection and avoidance systems for DARPA Urban Challenge vehicles. Richard also gained research experience as a Research Assistant at the University of Utah, where they programmed smart sensor network protocols and co-authored a conference paper.
Richard Wright earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Utah, which they attended from 2002 to 2008. Richard then pursued further education at the same institution, obtaining a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from 2008 to 2010.
