Jeff Motschman is a Bioinstrumentation Engineer at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory since November 2022 and has been involved in R&D at Xilis since October 2019, focusing on next-generation technologies for precision medicine. As an NIH Predoctoral Biotechnology Fellow at Duke University since May 2017, Jeff Motschman has specialized in bioinstrumentation, including microfluidics, automation, machine learning, computer vision, bioinformatics, and precision medicine. Previous experience includes working as an Application Engineer at Dolomite Microfluidics, where development and commercialization of droplet microfluidic systems for single-cell analysis and drug delivery were primary tasks. Jeff Motschman also held various engineering roles at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Institute of Marine Sciences (CSIC), and Scripps Institution of Oceanography, focusing on microfluidic systems and advanced underwater imaging. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University and a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
