Ramin Ghaznavi Youvalari is a Senior Staff Engineer in Video Standards at Xiaomi Technology since September 2023. Previously, Ramin held several positions at Nokia from February 2015 to August 2023, including Principal Researcher, leading initiatives in video compression and VVC standardization, as well as exploring machine learning applications in video coding. Ramin's early career at Nokia involved roles such as Senior Researcher and Video Coding Researcher, focusing on VR video coding and streaming. Additionally, Ramin worked as a Research Assistant at Tampere University of Technology in 2015, specializing in 360-degree panoramic video coding. Ramin earned a PhD in Computer Science from Tampere University in 2021 and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Tampere University of Technology between 2013 and 2016.
