Murali Selvan has over 15 years of experience in the technology industry. In 2005, they began their career as a Web Programmer for Binghamton University. In 2007, they were promoted to Senior Technology Analyst at Goldman Sachs, where they developed applications to support key business functions and published a white paper on "Best Practices on JMX Security". In 2013, they took on the role of Team Lead/Vice President at Technology Infrastructure at Goldman Sachs, where they oversaw a team of 10 engineers in the build and delivery of a production monitoring and alerting system. In 2014, they became Engineering Manager (Vice President/SE) at Risk & Control Technology, People Technology, Goldman Sachs, where they directed the design and construction of a GRC Enterprise Platform solution. In 2018, they co-founded Soilfilms.org and became Head of Engineering - CX Channels | Apple Card at Goldman Sachs. In 2019, they took on the role of Engineering Leadership at Uber, where they were the engineering leader of Customer Experience teams and drove cross-org initiatives. In 2022, they became Chief Technology Officer at Xforia Technology Solutions and Services and Director of Engineering at Coinbase. Murali currently serves as a Career Coach at CoachSelvan, where they coach engineers and managers on developing a driver mindset to overcome challenges and ambiguity in their career growth.
Murali Selvan obtained a Masters degree in Computer Science from Binghamton University between 2005 and 2007. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications from LinkedIn such as JavaScript Essential Training, Learning Program Management, and React.js Essential Training, which were obtained in March 2019.
