Darren has been actively involved in the Nuclear Power industry for over 36 years, including Executive Management for the past 20 years. His significant profit/loss responsibilities span Fuels, Services, Engineering and Maintenance businesses. He has helped to deliver best in class safety results and financial results for his organizations.
He has held executive positions with Framatome, BWXT, Day & Zimmermann and Structural Integrity. For BWXT, he was selected to be the Program Manager of the DOE Cost Share Program for Small Modular Reactors, mPower, a $1B development program to demonstrate a two-unit power plant.
Darren has also been actively involved with University Nuclear Program advisory boards at both Florida University (12+ years) and Penn State University, as well as past participation on the Civil Nuclear Trade Advisory Committee for the U.S. Department of Commerce. He has Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Nuclear Engineering from Kansas State University, and received his MBA from Averett University.
