Hamza Akhtar is a Sr. Hardware Design Engineer at Xcelerium since June 2023, where designs for compute pipelines in an RVV-v1.0 compliant vector core have been developed. As the founder of Uraan, an organization focused on addressing educational challenges for underprivileged children, Hamza has facilitated sessions on modern skills. Previous experience includes serving as a Teaching Assistant in Computer Architecture at the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, where lab portions based on RISC-V architecture were designed, alongside instruction on system verilog HDL and processor design. Leadership experience as President of IET On Campus UET involved managing a team of over 70 volunteers, while also conducting numerous technical seminars as Head of the Computer Science Chapter. Research Assistant work at Lahore University of Management Sciences included data collection and coding convolutional neural networks for urban planning strategies. Hamza holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, completed in December 2023.
