Michael McGuire is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in cloud engineering, currently serving as Principal Cloud Engineer at Xcel Energy since February 2009. Specializing in the AWS cloud platform, Michael has led initiatives involving various AWS services, spearheading serverless infrastructure projects through Terraform and guiding an agile transformation program. Previous roles include Senior Cloud Engineer, where Michael was instrumental in the enablement of AWS services, and Systems Engineer, where leadership in cross-departmental collaborations was demonstrated. Prior to Xcel Energy, Michael worked at Wells Fargo as an Application Engineer, achieving significant operational savings and ensuring application security. Earlier experience at StarTech Computing, Inc. focused on comprehensive application solutions across network and infrastructure design. Michael holds an MBA from Cardinal Stritch University and a BS in Information Technology from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota.
