Xiaochen Xin's work experience includes a role as a Junior Photonics Engineer at Xanadu since February 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Honeywell as a Mitacs Photonics Intern from August 2021 to February 2023. Additionally, they served as a Teaching Assistant at Carleton University from September 2020 to April 2022. They also have experience as an FPGA Hardware Engineer Co-op at Rockport Networks Inc. from May 2018 to December 2018 and as a Software Integration and Verification Co-op at Ericsson from September 2016 to August 2017.

Xiaochen Xin completed a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Carleton University, from 2014 to 2020. Following that, Xiaochen pursued a Master of Applied Science degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Silicon Photonics, also from Carleton University, starting in 2020 and expected to be completed in 2023.

Additionally, Xiaochen Xin obtained a certification in the "Fundamentals of Deep Learning" from NVIDIA in June 2022.
