Kevin Dahlberg

Director Of Battery Research - Electrochemical Interfaces at XALT Energy

Kevin Dahlberg has extensive work experience in battery research and development. Kevin started their career in 2008 as a Summer Intern at General Motors, where they worked on identifying and preparing oxidation catalysts. During this time, they also received two patents for their work. In 2011, they returned to General Motors as a Summer Intern, focusing on characterizing materials and demonstrating superior catalyst performance.

From 2012 to 2014, Dahlberg worked as an Engineering Teaching Consultant at the Center for Research on Learning and Teaching in Engineering. In 2014, they joined Energy Power Systems LLC as a Research Scientist, before transitioning to XALT Energy in the same role. At XALT Energy, they quickly rose through the ranks, eventually becoming the Battery Research Manager and later the Director of Battery Research - Electrochemical Interfaces. In these roles, they led rigorous experimental studies, managed development programs, evaluated outside technologies, and coordinated teams to reach development milestones.

Throughout their career, Dahlberg also had a strong academic background. Kevin served as a Graduate Student Research Assistant at the University of Michigan from 2008 to 2014, where they also worked as a Graduate Student Instructor for thermodynamics and senior laboratory courses.
