Federico Fontana is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in finance and data science, currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at XAI Asset Management since March 2017, focusing on machine learning, portfolio construction, and trading execution for a global macro hedge fund. Prior to this role, Federico worked at Credit Suisse as a Data Scientist, where responsibilities included predicting macroeconomic variables and optimizing trading flow for the FX desk. Federico also completed an internship as a Financial Analyst at Katarsis Capital Advisors SA, developing a clustering algorithm in R and C++. Earlier in their career, Federico gained recognition as a Professional Poker Player with notable achievements. Federico holds multiple degrees, including an MSc in Computational Finance from UCL and an MSc in Quantitative Finance from Università degli Studi di Verona, complemented by a BSc in Economics and Finance from Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia.
