Damien Macq currently serves as Chief Operations Officer at X-FAB since April 2023. Previously, Damien held the position of VP & GM of the Business Unit Sense and Light at Melexis from December 2012 to April 2023, managing operations across automotive, industrial, white goods, and medical markets as a member of the executive team. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Director of R&D at ST-Ericsson, overseeing cellular connectivity engineering, leading a team of 200 engineers across Europe and Asia, and managing strategic programs. Additionally, Damien created and led a new business unit focused on high voltage communication products at AMI Semiconductors and held various leadership roles in DSL development at GlobespanVirata and Alcatel Microelectronics. An academic background includes a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Université catholique de Louvain and a SEP in Business and Management from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
