Peter Magnusson serves as the Department Chair and Professor at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley since July 2021. Their career encompasses roles such as Professor and Associate Professor of International Marketing at The University of Alabama from 2015 to 2021, and Assistant Professor of International Marketing at Florida International University from 2012 to 2015. Peter Magnusson also has significant board experience, including positions with X-Culture and the Academy of International Business US Southeast, where contributions included promoting international business scholarship. Additional roles include Treasurer at the Swedish School of Fort Lauderdale and an academic background as a Research Assistant and Ph.D. student at Saint Louis University, from where a Ph.D. in International Marketing was earned in 2007.
