Luc Wolters

Luc Wolters is an experienced historian and author currently serving as the author and historian for the Bisdom Roermond, where a project is underway to write nearly 1,000 short stories for approximately 330 churches in Limburg. As the owner of Historie Present since 2005, Wolters specializes in making history accessible through articles, books, lectures, and research, also serving as a point of contact for writing and editing inquiries. Additionally, Wolters has held the position of conservator at the Limburgs Schutterij Museum, overseeing a collection that reflects the shooting culture of Dutch and Belgian Limburg, and has worked as a freelancer for historical publications and as the editor-in-chief for the historical yearbook Spiegel van Roermond. An interim conservator role at the Nederlands Mijnmuseum was recently completed. Prior to this extensive history background, Wolters worked in various marketing and management roles at Vodafone-Libertel from 1997 to 2004. Luc Wolters holds a doctorandus degree in History from Leiden University, obtained in 1994.
