Dan Frailey has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research. Dan currently holds the position of a Senior Scientist at WuXi Advanced Therapies since November 2022. Prior to this role, from November 2020 to November 2022, they worked as a Scientist at the same company.

Before joining WuXi Advanced Therapies, Dan Frailey worked at the University of New Hampshire as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow from October 2017 to April 2020. Their research focused on using genomic approaches to identify genes involved in nodulation in chickpeas, leveraging sequencing data and allele-specific PCR techniques.

From August 2012 to October 2017, Dan Frailey served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Georgia. Their work involved studying the molecular basis of meiotic recombination in maize and assembling and analyzing chloroplast genomes of parasitic plant species. Dan developed a high-throughput technique to screen pollen grains and investigated unequal recombination events in maize.

Earlier in their career, from August 2011 to June 2012, Dan Frailey worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Delaware. Here, they contributed to a study on calcium channel proteins and their impact on signaling and hyphal growth in the pathogenic fungus Fusarium graminearum, utilizing confocal microscopy and image analysis.
