Ying ZHANG is a Lead Geotechnical Engineer at WSP, specializing in tailings dam design, construction, and waste management projects since September 2022. Prior experience includes a tenure as Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Wood (2017-2022) and Geotechnical Engineer at Amec Foster Wheeler (2012-2017). Ying's foundational experience began as an M.Sc. student at the University of Alberta, where notable research focused on freeze/thaw dewatering of Albian Mature Fine Tailings and enhancement using natural fibers. Ying ZHANG holds an M.Sc. in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Alberta and a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Zhejiang University.
