Margaret-Avis Akofio-Sowah, PhD, currently serves as the Global OCM Lead - Projects & Sales and Vice President of Project Management at WSP since May 2023. Prior to this role, Margaret-Avis held multiple positions at WSP USA from August 2015 to May 2023, including Vice President and US Organizational Change Management Lead, as well as Assistant Vice President and Principal Consultant in the Asset Management Business Advisory. Margaret-Avis began their career at the Georgia Institute of Technology from August 2010 to July 2015 as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant, and also gained experience as a Transportation Planning and Management Intern at Cambridge Systematics in 2012. Educationally, Margaret-Avis earned a PhD in Civil Engineering with a focus on Transportation Systems Engineering and a Master's degree in Civil Engineering, both from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Science from Smith College.
