Kara Lysle is an experienced media professional currently serving as a TV Assignment Desk Editor at WRAL since April 2015, responsible for monitoring police and fire scanners for breaking news and assigning news crews. Previously held the role of TV ENG Editor, editing various news videos and contributing stories to major networks like NBC and CNN. Owned additional experience as a TV News Production Assistant, an intern at Figure 8 Films working on projects for TLC, a reporter for Carolina Week, and a background extra in various television shows and films. Early career included positions as a Senior Counselor at the North Carolina Therapeutic Riding Center, an intern at CK Productions, and a Kennel Technician at Carrboro Plaza Veterinary Clinic. Kara holds a degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, obtained in 2015.
