Ryo Igarashi started their work experience as a Software Engineer at Yahoo! JAPAN in April 2012. Ryo worked there until November 2016. In December 2016, they joined Toyota Motor Corporation as a Software Engineer. Two years later, in October 2018, they moved to Toyota Research Institute Advanced Development as an Automated Driving Software Engineer. Ryo is currently working at Woven Planet Holdings as a Product Owner and Senior Engineer, seconded from TMC, starting in January 2021.
Ryo Igarashi's education history begins with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from UC Irvine, which they obtained from 2008 to 2010. Ryo then pursued a Master's degree in Nuclear Engineering and Management at The University of Tokyo from 2010 to 2012.
In 2021, Ryo Igarashi enrolled in the Quantic School of Business and Technology to pursue an Executive MBA. This program spanned from 2021 to 2022.
In addition to their formal education, Ryo Igarashi has obtained several certifications. These include the Licensed Scrum Master from Scrum, Inc. in November 2018, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate and AWS Solutions Architect Associate from Amazon Web Services in September 2018 and August 2018, respectively. Ryo also acquired the AWS Developer Associate certification from Amazon Web Services in April 2018. Moreover, they received the JDLA Deep Learning for GENERAL 2018#1 certification from the Japan Deep Learning Association (JDLA) in June 2018. Lastly, they earned two certifications, Customer Analytics from Coursera Course Certificates in July 2021 and Commercial Contract Fundamentals from Berkeley Law Executive Education in September 2022.
