Julia Pralle has a diverse work experience spanning over many years. Julia is currently working as a Sr. Systems Engineer at Woven Planet since May 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Toyota Research Institute from December 2019 to May 2022 in the same role.
Before that, Julia worked at NIO as a Sr. Systems Engineer - Autonomous Driving from February 2019 to December 2019 and as a Systems Validation and Integration Engineer from June 2018 to February 2019.
In 2014, they worked at Volkswagen AG as a Vehicle Dynamics Engineer, where they designed and executed field tests in autonomous driving mode and collected test metrics for analysis and visualization.
From 2012 to 2014, Julia worked at IAV GmbH as an Engine Calibration Engineer, where they developed a Simulink model, collected data for validation, and created an in-house tool for future projects. Julia also worked as an Engine Development Engineer (Internship) at Shanghai Volkswagen Powertrain Co. Ltd. in 2012.
In 2011, Julia worked as a Human Machine Interface Engineer at Electronics Research Laboratory, where they conducted usability studies and analyzed data for system improvements.
Julia also has experience as an Ergonomics Engineer at Volkswagen AG in 2010 and as a Vehicle Mechatronic at an Automotive Workshop from 2004 to 2007.
Julia Pralle obtained an Apprenticeship Diploma in Vehicle Mechatronic from the School of Vehicle Engineering in 2007. Julia then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Vehicle Engineering from Technische Universität Berlin, graduating in 2012. Julia continued their education at the same institution and obtained a Master's Degree in Vehicle Engineering in 2015. In 2017, Julia Pralle completed a Nanodegree in Self-Driving Car Engineering from Udacity.
