Federico Proni has worked at Woven Planet Holdings as a Computer Vision Software Engineer since January 2022. Prior to that, from March 2019 to December 2021, they worked at Parkopedia as a Robotics Software Engineer on the Autonomous Driving Team. Their responsibilities included working on SLAM for HD Maps and localization for Autonomous Driving. Additionally, from September 2017 to March 2018, Federico had an internship at F&P Personal Robotics as a Software Engineer. During their internship, they worked on a collaborative robotic arm and mobile robots, maintaining a C++ computer vision library, implementing a ROS package for pose estimation, and working on the Python robot backend. Federico utilized an agile stack, including git, JIRA, and Docker, for their work.
Federico Proni has a strong educational background in engineering and robotics. Federico obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Robotics, Systems and Control from ETH Zurich between 2016 and 2018. Prior to this, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna from 2013 to 2016. Additionally, they spent a year at Tongji University in 2014-2015, which is also focused on Automation Engineering. In terms of their earlier education, Federico attended Liceo Scientifico Augusto Righi from 2008 to 2013, where they pursued the scientific curriculum in high school. Federico also had a short-term experience studying at North Mecklenburg and Hopewell High School during the academic year 2011-2012.
Federico Proni has obtained several additional certifications. In 2013, they achieved a Certificate of Proficiency in English (C2) from the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations. Federico also holds a DELF B2 certification from the International Centre for French Studies, obtained in 2010.
