Marlon Ranson - van den Berg began their work experience in 2004 as a Fundraiser and Teamleader at Fruitful Fundraising, raising money for UK charities. In 2004, they also worked as a Consultant at GCS IT recruitment, focusing on the Dutch IT market. In 2007, Marlon joined Wortell as a Corporate Recruiter, later progressing to roles in Recruitment & HR and eventually becoming the Head of HR NL, responsible for HR policy and execution in the Netherlands. Currently, Marlon holds the position of Head of HR NL at Wortell, leading HR projects and improving HR services for employees.
Marlon Ranson - van den Berg has a diverse education history. Marlon obtained a VWO diploma from VWO Christelijk College Groevenbeek - Ermelo in 1999. After completing their VWO, they went on a one-year world trip. In 2001, Marlon enrolled at Leiden University and pursued a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology and Development Studies, graduating in 2004. During this time, they also participated in a six-month Socrates Exchange Program between Leiden University and University College London, earning a Socrates Certificate from UCL.
In 2014, Marlon attended NCOI and completed a Post Bachelor degree in Personeelsmanagement with a specialization in Human Resource Management (HRM). Marlon continued to enhance their professional skills through various training programs. These include a course on Communicatie en Sociale Gedragsstijlen by Wortell / Brenda Sarbach - Training en coaching in 2015, a Coaching program by Wortell / ICM opleidingen en trainingen in 2012-2013, and an MBTI training by Wortell / Need2change in 2012. Marlon also attended training sessions on Time Management by Wortell / Manpower in 2011, Vertrouwenspersoon omgangsvormen by Wortell / Kluwer in 2010, and a Persoonlijk Leiderschap program by Amethist Developing People in 2019-2020.
Marlon's education journey also includes personal growth and leadership development programs. Marlon participated in Wortell's internal training programs in 2012 and was trained as a Wortell trainer by Maarten Fijnaut.
