Ioannis Kakogiannos has held various roles in the engineering and project management sectors since 2009. Ioannis began their career as a Laboratory Assistant at the Automatic Control Systems Lab of the Piraeus University of Applied Sciences in 2009. In 2012, they were a Trainee Engineer in Technical Support at Siemens, and then an Applications Engineer at EUROBEND from 2012 to 2016. Ioannis then moved on to become a SCADA Developer at Nea Odos in 2016. From 2017 to 2019, they were a Mechatronics R&D Engineer at Guala Closures Group, where they were responsible for R&D and coordination of technical activities on flexible automation industry 4.0 systems, PLC programming, electrical drawings design, and management of orders. Since 2019, they have held the role of Project and Innovation Manager at IRIS Technology Solutions, and as of 2023, they are Innovation Project Manager at Worldsensing.
Ioannis Kakogiannos obtained their Master's degree in Advanced Industrial Manufacturing Systems from Kingston University in 2016. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Engineering - BE in Automation Engineering from Piraeus University of Applied Sciences in 2013.
