Sergio Grau has extensive work experience in data engineering and analytics. Sergio currently serves as the Senior Manager of Data Engineering and Analytics at Worldreader in Spain, where they lead a team responsible for building and maintaining analytics systems for educational technology solutions. Sergio has implemented scalable data pipelines that process billions of events and generate automated insights for various stakeholders. Sergio has also created data pipelines for a self-service analytics platform and facilitated the discovery of new insights and development of models.

Prior to their role at Worldreader, Sergio worked at the University of Oxford in the UK. Sergio served as a Service Manager for the Media Publishing team, overseeing the development and maintenance of content management systems and intranets for thousands of University of Oxford podcasts. Sergio also played a crucial role in the creation of podcast analytics to demonstrate the impact and reach of these podcasts.

In addition to their work at Worldreader and the University of Oxford, Sergio has held research roles at various institutions including the University of Oxford, Nottingham Trent University, Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), Carnegie Mellon University, and IMT Atlantique. These positions involved research and assisting in various projects.

Sergio Grau holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence, which they obtained from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) from 2003 to 2005. Prior to this, from 2001 to 2002, they pursued a Mastère Spécialisé (Specialized Master's) in Ingénierie des Systèmes Informatiques Communicants (Engineering of Communicating Computer Systems) at IMT Atlantique. Mr. Grau's undergraduate education was completed at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) from 1997 to 2002, where they earned their degree in Computer Science Engineering.
