Dr. Ashima Arora is a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Tools for Humanity since January 2022, previously serving as a Senior Data Scientist at Shopee where deep learning models for ID card fraud detection and computer vision modules for KYC processes were developed. Prior to this, Dr. Arora was the Head Of Engineering at Staple, focusing on image processing pipelines and REST API maintenance on AWS. Dr. Arora began as an EFSG4 Founder in Residency at Entrepreneur First, following a robust academic background with a PhD in Physics from Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin and a BS-MS Dual Degree in Physics from IISER Mohali.
