Shakirullah Gharwal is an experienced humanitarian professional currently serving as the Head of the Pakyia office at the World Food Programme since December 2022, where responsibilities include program implementation, partnership promotion, coordination, and capacity building. Previously, Shakirullah held the position of Head of Office at Save the Children International, managing a substantial humanitarian program with an 8 million dollar portfolio in the North province. Prior roles include Portfolio Consultancy Contract Management Specialist at The World Bank, overseeing national programs in 27 provinces, and Regional Field Coordination Specialist at The World Bank Treasury, coordinating community-driven development programs. Additional expertise includes various roles at International Medical Corps, Development & Ability Organization, and Organization for Research & Skill Training for Women, with a solid educational foundation in project management from Abasyn University and a degree from the University of Agriculture, Peshawar.
