Dayong Yu has extensive work experience in the field of international trade and economics. Dayong began their career in 1994 as a Tariff and Tax Specialist at the Economic and Trade Commission in China. In 1998, they joined the Ministry of Finance of China as a Trade Policy Analyst, where they worked until 2003.
In 2004, Dayong Yu joined the World Trade Organization (WTO) and held various positions within the organization. Dayong started as a Senior Statistical Officer and later became a Counselor in the Accessions Division. From 2014 to the present, they have been serving as a Senior Statistical Officer in the Economic Research and Statistics Division of the WTO. Most recently, they assumed the role of Chief of the Market Access Intelligence Section, where they are currently employed.
Dayong Yu completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Jilin University in 1991. From 1991 to 1994, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science at the same university. Later, from 1999 to 2001, they attended Duke University Graduate School and earned a Master of Development Policy. The field of study for their Master of Development Policy is not specified.
