Astghik Solomonyan has a diverse work experience in the field of law and procurement. Astghik has worked as a Legal Affairs Officer at the World Trade Organization since March 2023 and previously held the role of Technical Assistance Officer from September 2020 to March 2023. Additionally, they have worked as a Books Review Editor at Public Procurement Law Review from January 2020.

Astghik has also worked at the University of Nottingham as a Tutor of EU Law from October 2018 to April 2020, and as a Research Assistant from March 2018 to November 2019.

Astghik Solomonyan has experience working in international organizations, including the World Trade Organization where they served in the WTO Doctoral Support Program from March 2019 to July 2019 and as a Procurement Consultant at OECD - OCDE from May 2018 to December 2018.

Furthermore, they have worked as a Legal Analyst at EBRD from March 2017 to January 2018, where they were involved in various projects and provided legal advice on public procurement matters.

Astghik Solomonyan has also worked as a Trainee at the European Commission and as a Local Legal Expert at EBR, where they gained experience in public procurement strategy and compliance with legislation.

Additionally, they have worked as a Legal Expert for the EBRD GPA TC Facility at Public and Private Law Consulting and as a Lecturer at the American University of Armenia, where they taught the Competition Law course and supervised student theses.

Astghik Solomonyan holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Law from the University of Nottingham, which they earned between 2016 and 2020. Prior to that, they pursued an International Master degree in Public Procurement Management at the University of Rome Tor Vergata from 2014 to 2015. In 2009, they obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in International Economics and Business Law from the University of Groningen. Their education journey started at Yerevan State University, where they completed their Bachelor's degree in Law from 2005 to 2009.
