Mesi - Meseret Haileyesus is a seasoned leader with extensive experience in nonprofit governance and advocacy for women's rights and social justice. Currently serving as Director on the Boards of the Canadian Centre for Accreditation and the YMCA of the National Capital Region, and as a mentor for Fora: Network for Change, Mesi also holds a position as Strategic Advisor for NTEN, providing guidance to nonprofit leaders. As the Founder and Executive Director of the Canadian Center for Women's Empowerment (CCFWE), Mesi has been instrumental in advancing initiatives for gender equality and economic justice, further demonstrated through roles as Global SDG Ambassador for Meaningful Business and Ambassador for World Pulse. Mesi’s past experience includes leading Maternity Today and advocating for reproductive health rights with the End FGM Canada Network.
