Josue Muniz

Manufacturing Operations Manager at World Precision Instruments, LLC.

Josue Muniz has worked in the manufacturing industry since 1988. Josue started their career as a Machinist at THE U. S. BAIRD CORPORATION in 1989 and then at Ferguson Machine Tool in 1988. In 1990, they joined Advanced Grinding Tech. Inc. as a Senior Machinist. In 1997, they moved to Branson Ultrasonics (Div. Of Emerson Electric Co. (I) P. Limited) as a Toolmaker. In 2000, they joined Valley Tool and Manufacturing as a Manufacturing Engineer. In 2006, they joined Alfa Laval as a Manufacturing Manager and then as a CNC Department Manager. In 2011, they joined World Precision Instruments, LLC. as a Manufacturing Engineer and then as a Production Control Manager. In 2015, they were promoted to Manufacturing Operations Manager at World Precision Instruments, LLC., where they reduced scrap to near Six Sigma level.

Josue Muniz has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Operations Management from DeVry University in Tampa, FL. Josue also has a Diploma in Machine Tool Trade from Eli Whitney Reg. Technical Vocational School in Hamden, CT, and attended the Manufacturing Engineering Technology Program at Gateway Community Technical College in New Haven, CT. Additionally, they are in the process of obtaining a Certified Lean Manufacturing Champion (CLMC) from Business Basics, L.L.C., is an ISO 9001:2008 Lead Auditor from QAI, has completed a Project Management Course at Manatee Technical College, and has Six Sigma Black Belt Certification (pending project completion), Six Sigma Green Belt Certification, Six Sigma Lean/DFSS Certification, and Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification from Aveta Business Institute. Josue also has a State Certified Toolmaker Apprenticeship Program from the Connecticut Department of Labor.
