Tenzin Tenzin

Tenzin Tenzin is a seasoned veterinary epidemiologist with extensive experience in animal health and disease prevention. Since May 2019, Tenzin has been serving as a Project Manager at the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE), coordinating the Rabies Elimination Programme in Namibia, Angola, and other Southern African countries. Prior to this role, Tenzin held positions including Veterinary Epidemiologist and Head of the Disease Prevention & Control Unit at the National Centre for Animal Health from August 2012 to April 2019. Tenzin has also contributed as an International Consultant for the UN Food and Agriculture Organization and has held various veterinary positions since 1999. Tenzin’s academic background includes a Ph.D. from the University of Sydney in Veterinary Preventive Medicine, a Master's Degree from Utrecht University in Veterinary Epidemiology & Animal Health Economics, and a Bachelor's Degree from Kerala Agricultural University in Veterinary Medicine & Animal Science.
