John Ridley is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in environmental management and sustainable practices. Currently serving as a Board Member of the World Ocean Council since March 2024, Ridley has been the Managing Director and CEO of Converte Pty Limited since July 2012, focusing on natural products that enhance agricultural efficiency. Additionally, Ridley has been the Managing Director of Ocean Nourishment Corporation since July 2007, where the development of technologies aims to restore ocean ecosystems. Former roles include Advisory Committee Member at the Sydney Institute of Marine Science and Director at C-Logic Holdings Pty. Ltd., contributing to low-carbon sustainable solutions. With a significant background as Director of Environmental Services at Hyder Consulting from 1992 to 2007, Ridley worked on major infrastructure projects in Hong Kong and Sydney. Ridley holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Biological Sciences from the University of Leicester and an MSc in Environmental Resource Management from The University of Salford.
