Chris Balderston

Chris Balderston has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several companies and roles. Starting with Longman Japan in 1993 as a Sales Manager, they moved on to Oxford University Press in 1998, where they held various positions such as Field Editor Asia, Promotions Manager / Special Projects Manager Japan, Senior Editor New York, Managing Director OUP Taiwan, and Market Development Director Asia. In 2012, Chris became an Independent Consultant at Balderston Consulting. Subsequently, they joined Macmillan Learning in 2016 as the Head of Major Institutional Partnerships and later joined World Family English Holdings Ltd. in 2018. At World Family English, they served as the Head of Editorial Services, Director of Cross Market Services, and is currently the President of World Family English USA, Inc.

Chris Balderston attended Temple University Japan from 1998 to 2000, where they studied Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language/ESL Language Instructor. Before that, in 1992, they briefly studied Applied Linguistics at the University of Oregon. In 1979, they began their college education at Hawaii Pacific University, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Social Sciences in 1986.
