Salim Chekili's work experience starts in 2009 when they joined EPFL as a Student Assistant, a position they held until January 2014. In 2014, they worked as a Master Project at CSEM for six months. From June 2015 to October 2022, Salim worked at itecor as a Big Data & Data Science consultant. Currently, they are serving as the API Development Lead - Engineering at the World Economic Forum, starting from October 2022.

Salim Chekili obtained their Bachelor's degree in Communication Systems from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) from 2009 to 2012. Salim then pursued a Master's degree in Communication Systems from the same institution, completing it from 2012 to 2014. In addition to their formal education, Salim also obtained a certification as an Elastic Certified Engineer from Elastic in October 2019.
