Sumair Mustansar Tarar is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in customs and trade policy management, currently serving as Additional Director Customs - Enforcement at the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) since August 2018. In this role, Sumair oversees various Customs Administrative Units, addressing enforcement and anti-smuggling efforts, recovery processes, and infrastructure projects. Sumair has also contributed as Secretary Preferential Trade, focusing on trade agreement negotiations. Additionally, Sumair works as a National Consultant for the International Trade Centre and as a WCO Recognized Integrity Expert for the World Customs Organization. Previous roles include leadership positions in commercial diplomacy, customs operations, and trade reform consultancy, along with academic credentials including an MPA in Finance from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Architecture from the National College of Arts, Lahore.
