Besmira Dyca currently serves as the Urban Benchmark Research Lead at the World Benchmarking Alliance since September 2023, focusing on the Urban Transformation Benchmark. Previously, Besmira Dyca worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Wageningen University & Research from April 2021 to January 2024 and held the position of Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Northumbria University in early 2019. Prior experience includes serving as the Head of the Strategic Planning and Priorities Implementation Directory for the Municipality of Tirana, where responsibilities involved monitoring the Strategic Development Plan and coordinating priority projects from February 2016 to September 2017. Additional roles include Urban Planner positions in both the Municipality of Shkoder and ALUIZNI, as well as a Teaching Assistant role at POLIS University. Educational qualifications encompass a PhD in Urban Management from Northumbria University and multiple master's degrees related to urban planning and development from prestigious institutions.
