A Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a senior executive 2nd in command in who manages a company's day-to-day operations and long-term strategy. They work closely with the CEO to ensure the company's vision is realized.
Responsibilities
Operations: Oversee daily operations, including I.T, H.R and Management.
Strategy: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company goals
People: Recruit and hire staff, and mentor and motivate employees
Policies: Create and maintain policies that support the company's vision and culture
Performance: Evaluate company performance and recommend improvements
Budgeting: Develop budgets and coordinate financial planning
Collaboration: Work with other departments and colleagues to achieve goals
