Before returning to school for architecture, Anna Karnitz completed a bachelor’s degree in social work with a minor in biology at Luther College. After graduating, she worked as a unit coordinator in a Minneapolis emergency room, where a careless renovation and newly built wall made her job virtually impossible. This design challenge ignited her interest in practical design, and she went on to explore architectural technology at Minneapolis College. From there, Anna worked at a large firm drafting for commercial projects before joining the team at Workshop/APD. As BIM Technician, her goal is to continue streamlining processes for the development projects – and she’s already getting to work giving the team the tools to succeed.
