Ben Truong has worked in the software engineering industry since 2009. Theirfirst job was as a Quality Assurance Analyst I at Rosetta Stone, where they helped deliver backup testing support for all software development project teams and assisted with delivery of functional, regression, performance, and acceptance testing activities. Ben also found, maintained, and tracked software defects. Ben then moved up to Software Analyst II, where they thoroughly analyzed a variety of products for consumer and institutional learners, reported and validated potential risk defects to QAA and software developers before a product was released, and constructed conclusive project reports for managers, QAA, and software developers after a product analysis. After this, they became Software Analyst I at Rosetta Stone, where they learned about the Rosetta Stone product line by working with the CD/Online product, and understanding its functionality and purpose. Ben also supported regular product release testing as well as the production of small runs of product master CDs. In 2014, Ben Truong moved to Jenzabar as a Quality Assurance Engineer IV. Ben then moved to Quality Assurance Engineer III and Scrum Master, and then Quality Assurance Engineer and Scrum Master. In this role, they developed testing plans and testing scenarios in accordance with functional requirements and detail technical specifications provided by the design team to ensure code generated by the development team conforms to the specified requirements. Ben also executed test cases and wrote defects as issues were identified, provided recommendations to aid software development bug resolution, and accepted responsibility for completeness and final quality of their work. Ben was involved with project plans detailing the expected level of effort and time required, and consistently met the allocated milestones. Ben also took the initiative to suggest new standards, implement new strategies, and took on special projects. Ben assisted with support calls when requested and responded to beta testing reported incidents, provided technical reviews or input for documentation as requested, and participated in the technical design reviews for upcoming product changes. Ben was also collaborative and worked well across affected module teams, and introduced the usage of Microsoft Teams to the whole product department. In 2022, Ben Truong moved to WorkRamp as a QA Engineer.
Ben Truong received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Mathematics with a field of study in Computer Science from Temple University between 2004 and 2009. In March 2022, they obtained certifications in ISTQB Foundation Exam Prep and Test Automation Foundations from LinkedIn. Ben also obtained a certification in How to Be an Adaptable Employee during Change and Uncertainty from LinkedIn in February 2022.
