Jessica Villarreal has a diverse work experience in various roles related to child care and education. Jessica is currently the Director of Child Care Services at Workforce Solutions Alamo, where they provide oversight and strategic guidance for child care services in San Antonio and surrounding counties. Previously, they worked as a Senior Management Analyst for the City of San Antonio, focusing on assessing and ensuring the quality of child care centers. Jessica also served as a School Services Specialist in the US Army, helping soldiers and families access child care and education resources. Prior to that, they were a Center Director at Sylvan Learning Center, responsible for operations, staffing, and curriculum delivery. Jessica began their career as a Teacher at Northside ISD, where they taught various subjects and supported students' academic success.

Jessica Villarreal obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from St. Mary's University in 1999. Jessica later pursued a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling from the same university, completing it in 2002. Additionally, they obtained a Results-Based Accountability Professional Certification from Clear Impact, LLC in January 2022. Jessica also holds a School Counselor certification for Grades EC-12, which they obtained from the State Board for Educator Certification in June 2007. In November 1998, they received a Texas Educator Certificate from the same institution.
