Lisa Patt-McDaniel has a diverse and extensive work experience. Recently, they served as the CEO of the Workforce Development Board of Central Ohio. Prior to that, they worked as an Adjunct Faculty at The Ohio State University, John Glenn College of Public Affairs. Lisa also held the position of Executive on Loan at the Affordable Housing Trust for Columbus and Franklin County, where they created a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) Fund. Before that, they were the Director of Community Development at the Ohio Capital Corporation for Housing.

Earlier in their career, Patt-McDaniel worked at the Ohio Department of Development in various roles, including Director, where they led the entire agency and earned recognition as the top economic development organization in the country. Lisa also served as the Director of the Workforce and Talent Division and Assistant Deputy Director of the Community Development Division. Additionally, they held positions at the Office of Housing and Community Partnerships and the Office of Business Development, where they managed economic development projects and negotiated incentive packages.

Before joining the Ohio Department of Development, Patt-McDaniel worked as an Economic Development Coordinator and Field Representative at the Ohio Department of Development. Lisa also worked at the State and Local Government Commission as a Research Analyst and at the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of Ohio as a Public Information Officer.

Lisa Patt-McDaniel's education history begins in 1979 when they attended Lake Catholic High School. Lisa graduated from high school in 1983. After completing their high school education, they went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Administration at Miami University. Lisa attended Miami University from 1983 to 1987.

In 1990, Lisa pursued further education and attended the National Development Council for a one-year program to become a Certified Economic Development Professional. Following this, they enrolled at The Ohio State University from 1992 to 1996 and completed a Master's degree in Public Policy with a focus on Public Policy.

Overall, Lisa's education journey consists of a high school education from Lake Catholic High School, followed by a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration from Miami University, and finally, a Master's degree in Public Policy from The Ohio State University.
