Dr. Okan Erol has worked in a variety of roles over the past 22 years. In 1998, they were the Country General Manager for Imerys. In 2006, they became the CEO of Esen Minerals. In 2011, they became the CEO of Steno Energy for the Süzer Group. In 2016, they became an Angel Investor for Daplie, Inc (which was later acquired by ClearFoundation), EVELO Electric Bicycles, and MD Research & Development. In 2019, they became an Angel Investor for TRANGELS. In 2020, they became an Angel Investor for Nanomik Biotechnology Co. and Co-Founder & CEO of Sortext. Dr. Okan is also Co-Founder & CEO of Wordego, an artificial intelligence based ad analytics platform.

Dr. Okan Erol's education history includes a PhD in Finance & Banking from Kadir Has University (2005-2010), an MBA from University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne (2000-2002), a Bs in Computer Engineering from Galatasaray Üniversitesi (1993-1998), and Primary, Secondary, and High School from TED Ankara Koleji (1982-1993).
