Sophie Sakamoto is a Mechanical Engineering and Professional Writing student at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, expected to graduate in May 2025. Sakamoto completed an Engineering Leadership Development Program (ELDP) internship at Siemens from May to August 2024, focusing on Additive Manufacturing Tolerance Tests and FDM Material Research. Additionally, Sakamoto served as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at MITRE during the summer of 2023, where projects included designing and testing auxetic metamaterials and evaluating Siemens NX. Sakamoto's educational background includes graduating from Design Tech High School in June 2021.
