Marielle van Veen is an experienced journalist and producer with a diverse background in media and communication. At Woonbond since February 2022, Marielle serves as a Redacteur for Huurpeil and Huurwijzer, focusing on the rental sector. Prior roles include producing for the cross-border journalism project Lost in Europe, where investigations centered on the fate of child migrants, and multiple producing positions at VersPers and Open Eyes Institute, the latter providing training in multimedia investigative journalism. Marielle also worked as a Redacteur at Omroep Gelderland and contributed to the development of DOC Industry Day for DOCfeed. Earlier experience includes communication roles at Landschapsbeheer Gelderland and Oranje Fonds, as well as producing for lokaalmondiaal and Coolpolitics. Marielle obtained a degree in TV Journalism from Fontys Hogeschool Journalistiek between 2006 and 2012.
