Nija Majmudar Meyer

VP, Enrollment Management at Woodward Academy

Nija Majmudar Meyer joined Woodward in 2014 to lead the Academy's marketing and communications efforts. In this role, Ms. Meyer has been responsible for sharing the Woodward story with all audiences, including prospective families, current families, and alumni, using all available channels including the Academy's website, the Woodward magazine, media relations, advertising, and social media. In 2017, her duties expanded to include Admissions and Financial Aid when she was named the Academy's Vice President for Enrollment Management, responsible for optimizing the student body while generating net revenue for financial sustainability. She leads a highly skilled team dedicated to ensuring an exceptional experience through every step of a family's journey—including inquiry, application, admission, retention, graduation, and beyond. In 2022, Ms. Meyer received the Enrollment Management Association's (EMA) Rising Star Award, honoring educators who have distinguished themselves and/or their schools in the field of enrollment management. She was chosen for exemplifying a passion for admission work and a devotion to service; modeling inspiration, commitment, and integrity; and making a contribution to the effectiveness, success, and future of admissions in independent schools across the country.

Ms. Meyer previously served in strategic marketing and consulting roles for The Coca-Cola Company, Andersen Consulting's Strategic Services, and GE Capital. She graduated summa cum laude in 1987 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Emory University. She was first in her class and received the BBA Award for Academic Excellence, the highest honor given by the business school, as well as the 'Most Outstanding Student in Marketing' award, chosen by the faculty. In 1992, she received a master's degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration. Ms. Meyer and her husband are parents to two Woodward Academy alumni who began their journey in pre-K and graduated as Vintage Eagles in 2019 and 2021, respectively.
